MILK Makeup Hydro Grip Hydrating Makeup Primer is available to purchase on MILK’s website and Sephora in three different sizes. The sizes available to purchase are the mini which is 10ml ($18), the regular sized, which is 150ml ($36), and the jumbo size, which is 45ml ($65). This primer is said to be an award-winning, invisible makeup primer with a 94% natural gel formula that smooths skin, grips makeup for up to 12 hours, and locks in hydration.
I have the regular-sized Milk primer that sells for $36 and have used it for a month. I was not too fond of this primer when I first used it, and I decided to keep giving it a chance, so I used it for a whole month before being sure I did not like this product. Unfortunately, after the month passed, I still did not like this Milk primer. It constantly peeled off my face before putting on my makeup and even after applying my foundation. I even let the primer sit on my face for 5 minutes before putting on my foundation, and it kept peeling off my face. I like that it is a gel primer because I have oily skin but it peeling was a firm no for me. It states on MILK’s website that it is a hydrating primer, and my skin did not feel like that at all. My face just felt really sticky, so the website saying that it grips the foundation is true.
I did not like that when applying this primer, it felt like I was putting glue all over my face. Once I would apply my foundation, it would get really cakey and look like I have a lot of layers of foundation on my face. It was worse when I would accidentally get the primer in my hair. This primer could probably be used as a brow gel instead of a primer because of how sticky it is. However, it gives you the glow it states on the website, but once the primer starts peeling off, that glow is gone. There are definitely way better primers on the market than this MILK primer.
I rate this MILK Makeup Hydro Grip Hydrating Makeup Primer a 1/5 because it is not a good primer, and I would return this product. This product is overhyped!
